DISCOVER MOREThe Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela is embarking on a process of image transformation in an effort to position itself as a luxury brand, elevating its essence and exalting its roots.
season 2025-2026
With these four concerts, the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela kicks off the first part of its 2025–2026 season, reaffirming its place as one of the world's great orchestras.
In this year in which we celebrate half a century of El Sistema's history, the Bolívar continues to transform itself: a new image, a new projection, and the same essence that has made it a symbol of artistic excellence and collective commitment. Its sound—deep, vibrant, and human—continues to be the best reflection of Venezuelan talent.
From the avant-garde of Pierre Boulez under the baton of maestro Alfredo Rugeles, to the virtuosity of Guy Braunstein and Leticia Moreno, culminating in the energy of Christian Vásquez in The Marriage of Figaro, this season invites us to rediscover an orchestra in full evolution.
The Bolívar not only represents a 50-year history, it represents the spirit of a country and embodies a present that inspires the world—even figures such as Chris Martin, who defined it as his favorite orchestra—and a future that continues to resonate strongly from Venezuela.
Recordings at Abbey Road and independent projects with Platoon Records

our founding director MAESTRO ABREU
As part of El Sistema's 50th anniversary celebrations, the orchestra pays tribute to its founder, Maestro José Antonio Abreu. A visionary and humanist, Abreu conceived music as a social project, excellence with inclusion, and the orchestra as a model for society. Thanks to his vision, the Simón Bolívar Orchestra and El Sistema achieved global recognition. His legacy inspires, guides, and sustains everything we are and everything that is yet to come.
